Our story
Designed by a mother of 7, for busy mums and dads
With seven kids, a calendar on the fridge and a phone full of notes was never going to cut it. Sorted Family was built out of necessity — school notes, sport, appointments, bills, dinners and the never-ending shopping list, all in one place instead of all in one mum's head.
Every part of it started as something she actually needed that day: snap the bill so it is not forgotten, scan the groceries so nobody buys milk twice, plan the week's meals in a minute, and pass tasks on to the rest of the family so the load is shared. If it did not make a busy mum's day easier, it did not make it in.

Kimberly and Dean are a wife and husband team running several businesses and raising a blended family of seven children. Between swimming lessons, appointments, driving lessons, youth groups, meal plans and what feels like a million birthdays, keeping the household organised became a full time job of its own.
Necessity really is the mother of invention. Kimberly was juggling a handful of different apps, none of them built for a family this size, each one charging extra for the features that mattered most. So we built our own instead, shaped around the way our family actually runs. Sorted Family was born.

Sharing one login is not needed — and not recommended. Separate logins are what make reminders, permissions and “whose turn is it” work.

There is nothing to download from an app store. It takes under a minute, then it opens full screen with its own icon, just like any other app — and keeps working when you have no signal.

Samsung and other Android
- 1. Scan the QR code below (or type sortedfamily.com.au into your browser).
- 2. Tap the three dots ⋮ at the top right.
- 3. Tap “+ Add Page To”.
- 4. Press “Add to Home Screen”.
- 5. Your app is now on your Home Screen.
- 6. Open the app, create your family, choose your payment — and you're done.
iPhone and iPad
Apple only allows “Add to Home Screen” in the Safari browser — make sure you are in Safari before you start.
- 1. Scan the QR code below (or type sortedfamily.com.au into Safari).
- 2. Tap the three dots ⋯ at the bottom of the screen, then tap “Share”.
- 3. Scroll until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap it.
- 4. Press “Add” — your app is now on your Home Screen.
- 5. Open the app from the icon, create your family, choose your payment — and you're done.
Reading this on a computer? Point your phone's camera at the code and tap the link — it opens straight to this page on the phone, ready to install. Handy for showing friends and family too.
What happens after it is installed
- 1. Open the app from the icon and tap “Create account” — you are signed in straight away, with no confirmation email to wait for.
- 2. Name your family and choose your plan ($4.99 a month covers everyone).
- 3. From then on, always open SORTED Family from the icon on your home screen — you stay signed in.
On a computer, just sign in at the same address — everything stays in step across every device in the family.
