Terms of use
Last updated 14 September 2026
These are the everyday rules for using Sorted Family. We've kept them short and readable. By creating a household, you're agreeing to them.
What Sorted Family is
An organiser for your family: calendar, bills, shopping, meals, to-do lists, health notes and the rest. It helps you keep track of things. It is not medical, legal or financial advice, and it isn't a substitute for your doctor, your accountant or your own good judgement. Always check anything important yourself.
Your account
- You need to be an adult to create a household.
- Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
- The person who sets up the household is the account owner and pays for it. They can invite others and decide what each member sees.
- Everything you put in is yours. We don't claim it and we don't use it for anything other than running the app for you.
The subscription
- One subscription covers your whole household — partner, children, grandparents and carers all join at no extra cost.
- The price is shown on our website and charged monthly to the account owner.
- It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from My profile in the app. Your family keeps working access until the end of the next billing cycle — the 1st of the month — and then the app stops for your household.
- If a payment fails we'll let you know and give you a chance to fix it before access stops.
What we ask of you
- Use it for your own family life, not to harass anyone or store anything unlawful.
- Don't try to break into other households' information, or to get around the way the app works.
- Don't upload anything you don't have the right to upload.
- Be decent in family messages — they're private, but they're still real people reading them.
If someone seriously misuses the app, we may suspend or close their account, and we'll tell them why.
Keeping it running
We work hard to keep Sorted Family up and reliable, and it keeps working offline when you have no signal. Even so, no app is perfect — there may be short periods where things are unavailable while we fix or improve something. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Where we stand legally
Nothing here takes away the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those rights, our responsibility is limited to the subscription fees you've paid us in the past twelve months. We're not responsible for a missed appointment, an unpaid bill or a lost list — the app is a helper, and the decisions stay yours.
Changes
If we change these terms we'll update this page, and tell you in the app or by email when the change matters. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
